I was tasked with creating a visual identity for the Discovery brand within Charles River. We wanted to illustrate the complexity of the drug development journey, show our offerings, and create a tool to use while talking with clients. There are many paths from concept to clinical trials! Working with a fantastic team of marketers and scientists I created a matrix graphic to illustrate the journey. I also developed the wider application of this style to multiple formats. This design framework has been applied to everything from video to social posts and booth graphics.

The example above shows the visual style I developed as an extension of the matrix graphic. After learning the marketing team’s key messages for discovery, I proposed this direction as a way to visually represent those ideas. I then translated the concept into storyboards and, once approved, moved into animation.
